5th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Diversity Breakfast Annoucement

It is indeed our pleasure on behalf of the YSU Student Diversity Council and the Office of Student Diversity Programs to invite you and your students to participate in the 5th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Diversity Breakfast on Thursday, January 18, 2007. The time of the event will be from 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM. The location of this program will be: The Chestnut Room of Kilcawley Center on the campus of Youngstown State University, located at One University Plaza, Youngstown, Ohio 44555.

Our plans call for a presentation that will capture the essence of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by Mr. Herb L. Washington, CEO of HLW Fast Track, Youngstown, Ohio. A presentation by the Youngstown Connection with additional presentations will be made by the United States Postal Services, musical selections by the Youngstown Connection and the annual Student Diversity Awards. Our audience is a combination of University personnel, students and community representatives. There are usually around 300 people in attendance.

The tickets for the event are $20.00 each and a table is $160.00. A table will seat 8 people. If you wish you may reserve a table by calling my office at (330) 941-2087 or individual tickets may be purchased at the Youngstown Information Desk in Kilcawley Center. Checks should be made out to Youngstown State University and submitted to the Office of Student Diversity Programs. This is an excellent opportunity for us to fellowship with one another and to commemorate the historic achievements on the campus and within the Mahoning Valley in the area of diversity that have been made recently.
