An Evening with Minnijean Brown Tricky
Penny Wells, Youngstown's Sojourn to the Past presents, “An Evening with Minnijean Brown Tricky”. The doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the performance/lecturer begins at 7 p.m. Ms. Tricky is one of the original Little Rock Nine. The event is free and open to the public. There will also be a breakfast in honor of Ms. Tricky at 8 a.m. at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 30 West Front Street. To rsvp contact Penny Wells at 330-788-0545.

Voter Registration Drive: Rally in the Valley
Mahoning Valley Collaborative and volunteers for the Barack Obama campaign will conduct a non-partisan Get-Out-the-Vote Drive to register voters. Speaking at the rally will be:
  • Dr. Cryshanna Jackson, Political Science Assistant Professor and Urban Internship Coordinator
  • A representation from Youngstown's local chapter 100 Black Men of America.
Bring unregistered voters and win a prize. Light refreshments will be served.
